William Webster, CPA

Will has 15+ years of experience consulting with business owners on accounting, choice of entity, flowthrough and partnership taxation, corporate taxation, multi-state tax and apportionment, audit and attestation, capital raising and transaction advisory.

He holds an active CPA license in the state of California. He also brings 8 years of working with startups and tech companies in driving revenue growth and building lasting client relationships.

Will started his career working with small business owners on bookkeeping, tax strategy and audit services for a boutique accounting firm in Kansas City.

At EY Will managed real estate compliance engagements for multi-national private equity funds. As a manager he was responsible for interpreting limited partnership agreements, calculating waterfall distributions, and REIT testing. Notable clients include Digital Realty, CBRE and Colliers International.

In 2017 Will joined a seed stage FinTech tax startup and scaled growth from pre-revenue to over $1M in sales.

While at PitchBook Data Will worked closely with investors to craft proprietary deal sourcing strategies and consulted with investor relations teams to develop unique and creative fundraising strategies. Will worked closely with investment bankers to improve valuation processes and CIM generation. He collaborated with founders and C-suite executives on capital raises from $500k to $100M.

Today Will supports family-owned businesses as they gear up for their first round of institutional capital. He also works with founders across SaaS and Life Science verticals to map the market, build a pitch deck and facilitate meetings with VC investors.

On the buy-side Will provides financial due diligence / valuation and quality of earnings reports for middle market PE funds / family offices and independent sponsors.

When Will is not supporting Xylinx clients he can be found breaking ski trails in the Wasatch Mountain range of Utah, attending music & art festivals and spending time with his family.
