Danah Amawi, CPA

Danah brings a strong foundation in tax, accounting, and project management to her work with clients across a broad range of industries. With a background spanning both public and private accounting, she has built a reputation for being analytical, collaborative, and meticulous. She will oversee tax strategies to minimize risk, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and provide leadership in identifying and implementing tax-saving opportunities.
 
Danah’s career began at PwC where she worked as an associate in the International Tax and Private Financial Services group at PwC. There, she prepared and reviewed tax returns for multinational corporations and high-net-worth individuals, often dealing with complex tax forms such as 5471, 8858, 8865, and 8621. Her experience at PwC sharpened her technical tax skills and gave her deep exposure to a wide range of industries, including technology, finance, and private investment.

After PwC, Danah served as a Senior Tax Accountant at Zeal, a remote-first payroll infrastructure company. She was responsible for managing the company’s payroll tax filing operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across federal and multi-state jurisdictions. She led internal audits of payroll calculations, conducted technical tax research and played a key role in the successful completion of a SOC 1 audit by collaborating across product, compliance, and operations teams. She also spearheaded the onboarding and training of offshore staff, implementing clear standards around payroll tax documentation, filing requirements, and deadlines.
 
Danah earned a BS in Accounting as well as a BBA in Finance and Management from the University of Kentucky. She is a licensed CPA in the states of Illinois and Kentucky.
 
When she is not supporting Xylinx clients, Danah can be found traveling, finding new coffee shops, or doing anything outdoors.
